▣ Product Overview

The Bürkert Type 8098 FLOWave is part of the FLOWave product range and is based on SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) technology. It is mainly designed for applications with the highest hygienic demands. The use of suitable stainless steel materials, a measuring tube completely free of internal parts and a hygienic external design helps ensure reliable measurement and easy cleaning in hygienic processes.

Type 8098 offers important practical advantages such as compact dimensions, lightweight construction, easy installation and simple handling. It is suitable for measuring homogeneous liquids that are free of air and solid particles. For liquids with higher viscosity, integrated viscosity compensation can be activated to improve measurement performance. Gas and steam cannot be measured by this device.

In addition to volume flow measurement, an optional density measurement function is available. With this option, the device can calculate mass flow based on volume flow and density. Additional derived process values such as differentiation factor (DF), acoustic transmission factor and concentration can provide further information about the liquid in use.

The FLOWave design has no obstacles inside the measuring tube and is compliant with hygienic requirements. It is CIP/SIP compatible and is especially suitable for liquids with low or no conductivity, such as water for injection (WFI). Digital communication options include Bürkert system bus (büS)/CANopen, Modbus TCP, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT and IO-Link. Parameterisation can be carried out via Bürkert Communicator and the integrated display. Optional approvals such as ATEX/IECEx and other hazardous area certifications are also available depending on configuration.
