▣ Product Overview

The Bürkert Type 8741 is a compact mass flow controller (MFC) and mass flow meter (MFM) developed for precise measurement and control of gas flow in industrial and laboratory applications.

The device uses a thermal MEMS sensor positioned directly in the gas stream, providing very fast response and accurate flow measurement. Depending on the configuration, Type 8741 can operate either as a mass flow meter or as a mass flow controller equipped with a direct-acting proportional valve.

A wide range of communication options is available, including büS/CANopen, Modbus RTU, analogue signals and Industrial Ethernet protocols such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT and Modbus TCP. This makes Type 8741 suitable for integration into modern automation and process control systems.

The nominal flow range extends from 10 mlN/min up to 160 lN/min for nitrogen, with high measurement accuracy, excellent repeatability and response times below 300 ms. Configuration memory also simplifies device replacement and system maintenance.

Multiple process connections, materials and optional approvals are available depending on the selected version. Customers should confirm gas type, flow range, operating pressure, communication interface and process connection before ordering.
