The DUNGS VPS 504 S02 is a compact valve proving system for DUNGS multiple actuators and automatic gas shut-off valve arrangements. Its internal motor pump raises the pressure in the test section by approximately 20 mbar and monitors whether the pressure is maintained. It supports operating pressures up to 500 mbar, test volumes from 0.1 to 4 litres and a typical test period of 10 to 36 seconds.
The DUNGS VPS 504 S02 is a valve proving system designed to check the tightness of automatic gas shut-off valves used in burner and combustion systems. It is suitable for DUNGS single valves, DMV double solenoid valves, GasMultiBloc units and compatible valve combinations.
The VPS 504 operates according to the pressure-build-up principle. When a heat request is received, an internal motor pump increases the pressure in the test section between the two shut-off valves by approximately 20 mbar. A differential pressure switch then monitors whether the test pressure is maintained. If the valve section is tight, the system provides a burner release signal and illuminates the operation indicator. If the required pressure is not reached or cannot be maintained, the unit switches to fault and displays a red fault indication.
The maximum operating pressure is 500 mbar, and the permitted test volume is between 0.1 and 4 litres. The test and release period is approximately 10 to 36 seconds, depending on the inlet pressure and test volume. The sensitivity limit is up to 50 litres of air per hour, with lower limit rates possible at inlet pressures below 50 mbar.
The S02 version uses a 7-pole plug connection, provides an external fault output and has an IP40 enclosure. Electrical versions include 230 V AC at 50 Hz and 24 V DC. The exact DUNGS order number, voltage, frequency and connector configuration must be verified from the product nameplate before ordering.
