The LAMTEC LS1, part number 650R0031, is a heated zirconium-dioxide lambda probe for continuous oxygen measurement with the LAMTEC LT1 Lambda Transmitter. The complete LS1/LT1 system measures O₂ in combustion and process gases in the superstoichiometric range, λ > 1.
The LAMTEC LS1 650R0031 is a heated zirconium-dioxide lambda probe used with the LAMTEC LT1 Lambda Transmitter for continuous measurement of oxygen concentration in combustion flue gases, furnace atmospheres and suitable process gases in the superstoichiometric range, λ > 1.
In the complete LT1/LS1 measuring system, a small amount of measuring gas is drawn through a capillary tube to the heated ZrO₂ measuring cell. The probe is connected to the LT1 through the appropriate probe cable and gas hose. The LT1 evaluates the probe signal, performs automatic calibration using ambient air at approximately 20.96 vol.% O₂ and automatically compensates for ageing of the measuring cell.
The complete system covers an O₂ measuring range of 0 to 21 vol.% and can achieve an accuracy of ±0.1 vol.% O₂ after calibration. With the appropriate 450 mm gas extraction device, the published system response time is below 15 seconds to 90% of the final value. The LS1 probe protection rating is IP42.
LS1 probes are available in plug-in, flange, immersion, high-dust and high-temperature configurations. Permitted flue-gas temperature, pressure, dust loading, probe length and fuel compatibility depend on the exact installation arrangement. Standard LS1 arrangements can measure directly in moist flue gas up to approximately 600 °C, while specially configured ceramic high-temperature extraction systems can be used at temperatures up to 1400 °C.
Part number 650R0031 identifies the probe, not a complete oxygen analyser. The LT1 transmitter, probe installation fitting, gas extraction device, cable, hose, calibration equipment and other accessories must be confirmed separately.
