Thermo Scientific Orion 9609BNWP is a combination fluoride ion selective electrode designed for direct measurement of free fluoride ions in aqueous samples.
The electrode uses a solid-state fluoride sensing membrane combined with an integrated reference electrode, allowing fluoride measurements with a single probe.
Its measurement range extends from approximately 1 × 10⁻⁶ M fluoride to saturation, corresponding to about 0.02 ppm fluoride up to saturation.
The refillable reference system helps maintain stable electrode performance over extended laboratory use.
A Thermo Scientific Orion Sure-Flow junction provides a free-flowing, easy-to-clean liquid junction that helps reduce clogging and improves performance in challenging samples.
The rugged epoxy body makes the electrode suitable for routine laboratory analysis, drinking water, wastewater, environmental samples and industrial water testing.
The electrode can be used continuously from 0°C to 80°C and can tolerate higher temperatures for short-term or intermittent measurements.
For accurate fluoride analysis, samples and standards should normally be treated with the appropriate ionic strength adjustment solution such as TISAB to control ionic strength and reduce interference.
The 9609BNWP configuration includes a 1 m cable with waterproof BNC connector and is compatible with suitable Thermo Scientific Orion ion-selective electrode meters and multiparameter instruments.
