Thermo Scientific Orion AQ8100 AquaMate 8100 is a UV-Visible spectrophotometer developed specifically for laboratory water and wastewater analysis.
The instrument uses a double-beam optical design with dual silicon photodiode detectors and a xenon flash lamp. It provides a wavelength range from 190 to 1100 nm with a spectral bandwidth of 2 nm.
A 7-inch high-definition color touchscreen provides an intuitive, glove-friendly operating interface for routine laboratory testing.
AQ8100 includes more than 260 preprogrammed test methods for use with Thermo Scientific Orion AQUAfast, Merck and CHEMetrics reagent chemistries. These methods cover a wide range of water quality parameters, including chlorine, COD, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, fluoride, iron, hardness, ammonia, color, silica and many other analytes.
Preprogrammed methods can be adjusted for reagent variations, and users can also create custom methods and calibration curves for additional testing requirements.
The instrument supports absorbance, percent transmittance and concentration measurements. It also provides wavelength scanning, kinetics and time-course functions for more advanced UV-Vis analysis.
Performance verification functions help confirm wavelength accuracy and instrument operation, while reports can include date, time and instrument identification to support GLP and GMP laboratory workflows.
AQ8100 accepts multiple vial and cell formats, including 10 mm square cells, rectangular cells and adjustable round vial or test tube holders.
The standard AQ8100 configuration includes the AquaMate 8100 spectrophotometer, preloaded water analysis methods, vial and test tube holders, 10 mm square-cell holder, snap-on printer, dust cover, external power supply and regional power cables.
