The TLV GT10 PowerTrap is a mechanical condensate pump with an integrated steam trap function, designed for condensate recovery from steam-using equipment under changing pressure conditions.
When the equipment inlet pressure is higher than the back pressure, the GT10 operates as a conventional steam trap and continuously discharges condensate.
When the inlet pressure becomes lower than the back pressure and condensate can no longer drain naturally, the PowerTrap automatically switches to pump operation. Steam or compressed air is introduced as the motive medium to raise the internal pressure and force condensate into the return line.
This dual-function design helps prevent the stall phenomenon, which can cause condensate accumulation, unstable heating, water hammer and corrosion in steam equipment.
The GT10 operates without electrical power, making it suitable for installations where electrical equipment is undesirable or where explosion-proof operation is required.
Typical applications include heat exchangers, reboilers, cylinder dryers, air heaters, HVAC equipment and other steam systems requiring reliable condensate recovery.
