The TLV J5X / JF5X Free Float Steam Trap is designed for reliable and continuous condensate drainage from small to medium-size steam process equipment.

Its self-modulating Free Float mechanism automatically adjusts condensate discharge according to the actual load, providing smooth and low-velocity drainage as operating conditions change.

The trap uses a simple free float mechanism with only one principal moving part, helping minimise concentrated wear and support long service life.

An integrated thermostatic X-element automatically vents air during start-up and remains open until temperatures approach steam conditions, helping improve start-up performance and heat transfer efficiency.

A built-in large-area strainer helps protect the internal valve mechanism from dirt and debris, supporting stable operation and reduced maintenance requirements.

Internal components can be accessed in-line for inspection, cleaning and servicing without removing the complete trap from the piping system.

The J5X is available with screwed connections, while the JF5X uses flanged connections. Depending on the selected regional specification, sizes and pressure ratings vary by model and orifice.
