▣ Product Overview

The Trolex TX6383 Flammable Gas Detector is a fixed-point gas monitoring instrument designed for continuous detection of flammable gases in hazardous and demanding industrial environments.

It uses poison-resistant catalytic combustion sensing technology to provide accurate real-time response to a wide range of flammable gases. The detector can be calibrated for different target gases according to the application requirements.

The TX6383 uses a pre-calibrated plug-in gas sensing module with a standardised output signal, helping simplify sensor replacement, maintenance and servicing.

A local LCD display provides gas concentration information and overrange indication directly at the detector. ZERO and SPAN calibration can be carried out conveniently using the integrated push-button calibration function.

Depending on the selected version, output signal options include 4–20 mA, 0.4–2 V and 5–15 Hz, enabling integration with industrial control, monitoring and alarm systems.

The detector features a stainless-steel reinforced polycarbonate housing and intrinsically safe versions are available for Group I and Group II hazardous areas.

The TX6383 is suitable for SIL 1 and SIL 2 applications when used in accordance with the applicable conditions and restrictions.

Special versions are also available with weatherproof plug-and-socket connections instead of conventional cable glands.

Typical applications include mining, tunnelling, chemical and petrochemical plants, heavy industry, process facilities, fuel handling areas and other locations requiring continuous flammable gas monitoring.
