▣ Product Overview

The Trolex TX8005 AIR XD Dust Monitor is designed for continuous real-time monitoring of airborne particulate matter in harsh, high-dust and hazardous industrial environments.

AIR XD uses a high-capacity optical particle counter (OPC) with adaptive particle flow technology to measure and classify airborne particles in real time. It can simultaneously report PM1.0, PM2.5, PM4.25 and PM10 concentrations, as well as Total Suspended Particulates (TSP) and custom particle size categories.

The instrument measures particles across a broad size range from approximately 0.35 µm to 40 µm, making it suitable for detailed dust profiling in industrial workplaces.

Measurement information can be viewed directly on the integrated display using live readings or configurable averaged values. High-visibility indicators and configurable alarm outputs help operators respond quickly when dust levels exceed defined thresholds.

The TX8005 supports two configurable relay outputs, two 4–20 mA analogue outputs, RS485 MODBUS RTU and Ethernet MODBUS TCP/IP communication, allowing integration with industrial control, monitoring and SCADA systems.

Measurement data can also be stored internally and transferred for further analysis using compatible Trolex software.

The control electronics are housed in a rugged IP66-rated coated steel enclosure, while the optical particle counter is protected inside a stainless-steel housing. The monitor can be wall-mounted, stand-mounted or used with transportable configurations depending on the application.

Certified versions are available for hazardous environments, including Group I ATEX, IECEx and MASC applications.

Typical applications include mining, quarrying, mineral processing, construction, bulk material handling, manufacturing and other workplaces requiring continuous area dust and particulate monitoring.
