The Trolex TX8061 XD1+ Personal Dust Monitor is a compact wearable instrument designed to provide workers with real-time information about personal exposure to airborne particulate matter.
The XD1+ measures particulate matter across PM1, PM2.5, PM4.25 and PM10 ranges, with a particle sizing range from approximately 0.1 µm to over 10 µm. This allows the device to provide detailed information about respirable and airborne dust conditions in the workplace.
Measurement data is displayed directly on the device, allowing users to view current particulate concentrations while working. Configurable short-term exposure limit (STEL) and time-weighted average (TWA) alarm thresholds provide audio and visual warnings when particulate exposure reaches defined levels.
The TX8061 includes onboard data logging with configurable logging intervals from 10 to 60 seconds. Recorded data can be downloaded and analysed using Trolex BreatheLITE and BreatheMOBILE software, while Bluetooth connectivity supports convenient data access and device integration.
The rechargeable battery provides more than 16 hours of operation, supporting full-shift personal exposure monitoring. The unit also includes a built-in self-check routine to help verify correct operation before use.
Weighing approximately 170 g and measuring around 112 × 64 × 25 mm, the XD1+ is designed to be lightweight and comfortable for personal use. A range of mounting options allows it to be attached to work clothing or personal protective equipment.
Its ruggedised design and IPX4 ingress protection make the device suitable for demanding industrial environments.
Typical applications include mining, construction, quarrying, mineral processing, manufacturing, demolition and other workplaces where employees may be exposed to hazardous airborne dust.
