The Trolex TX8100 AIR XS Silica Monitor is designed to provide detailed, accurate and real-time monitoring of airborne respirable crystalline silica (RCS) in industrial environments.
The AIR XS uses patented Optical Refraction Technology (ORT) to analyse airborne particulate matter and distinguish crystalline silica within complex dust mixtures. The instrument combines controlled particle flow with advanced optical sensing and adaptive data processing to calculate RCS concentration.
Measurement information is available directly from the instrument display, allowing operators to view current RCS levels at the monitoring location. High-visibility alarm indicators provide immediate warning when configured exposure levels are reached.
The TX8100 supports continuous monitoring and can operate for extended periods without complicated start-up or routine calibration procedures. Its rugged design is intended for challenging industrial environments where reliable dust monitoring is required.
Historical and live measurement data can also be accessed through compatible Trolex software. Communication options include RS485 and Ethernet, supporting integration with industrial monitoring and data management systems.
The instrument is housed in a rugged IP66-rated steel enclosure. The particle sensor is protected within a stainless-steel housing, helping isolate the particle flow path from the main control electronics.
Integrated mounting brackets allow the AIR XS to be installed on a wall or suitable stand, while the front keypad and display provide convenient local access to operating information and settings.
Typical applications include mining, quarrying, construction, mineral processing, manufacturing, demolition and other workplaces where workers may be exposed to respirable crystalline silica dust.
