Aremco Pyro-Duct 597-A is a specialized single-component, inorganic silver-filled conductive adhesive and high-temperature metallization coating designed for extreme thermal environments up to 927°C (1700°F). Unlike traditional organic epoxy adhesives that degrade above 200°C, Pyro-Duct 597-A maintains outstanding electrical conductivity, high bond strength, and low thermal expansion under severe heat and thermal cycling.
Key Features & Benefits:
- Extreme Heat Resistance: Operates continuously up to 927°C (1700°F) in air and high-vacuum environments without burning, outgassing, or loss of conductivity.
- High Electrical Conductivity: Formulated with ultra-pure silver flakes to deliver excellent electrical conductivity and low volume resistivity.
- Inorganic & Zero Outgassing: Water-based inorganic binder system contains no organic resins or volatile solvents, ensuring absolute cleanroom and vacuum compatibility.
- Excellent Adhesion: Bonds strongly to alumina ceramics, quartz, glass, graphite, and heat-resistant metals (stainless steel, Inconel, platinum).
Typical Applications:
- Attaching lead wires, electrodes, and ground straps to high-temperature thermocouples and sensors.
- High-temperature electromagnetic interference (EMI/RFI) shielding and electrostatic dissipation coatings in aerospace instrumentation.
- Ceramic-to-metal high-temperature metallization and conductive path creation in vacuum furnaces.
