The Honeywell R7849A1023 is a solid-state plug-in ultraviolet flame amplifier for compatible Honeywell 7800 SERIES burner controls and R7140 relay modules. It processes the ultraviolet signal generated by C7027A, C7035A or C7044A Minipeeper flame detectors and provides a 0.0–5.0 VDC flame-signal indication, with 1.25 VDC specified as the minimum acceptable steady signal.
The R7849A is the standard non-self-checking version and is identified by its purple ultraviolet label. The R7849A1023 configuration provides a flame-failure response time of 2.0 seconds with applicable CE relay modules or 3.0 seconds with applicable US relay modules. Built-in test jacks allow technicians to measure the flame signal during commissioning and maintenance.
The module operates from –40°C to +60°C and is intended for gas- and oil-fired burners that perform a controlled shutdown at least once every 24 hours. Detector selection, relay-module compatibility and flame-failure response time must be verified before installation.
