Product Identification and Technical Verification
Because Honeywell has an extensive portfolio and many configurable products, customers should provide the complete part number, model-selection code, product label photograph, serial number and installed system information.
For process instruments, the measuring range, process connection, wetted materials, output signal, power supply and hazardous-area approval must be confirmed. For gas detection products, the target gas, detection range, sensor technology, alarm configuration and required ATEX, IECEx, UL or CSA certification should be specified.
For DCS, PLC, safety-system and I/O components, the controller family, system version, firmware revision, slot configuration and compatibility with the existing installation must be verified. Older Honeywell products may be discontinued or restricted to specific system revisions.
Safety-critical devices and automation modules should not be replaced solely according to appearance or an abbreviated model number. Technical compatibility, software requirements and regional certification must be reviewed before installation.
